FOLGARIA IN SUMMER

Ten things to do in Folgaria in summer

Summer at Lavarone Lake

A few kilometres from Folgaria lies Lavarone with its splendid Alpine lake where you can have a refreshing swim in its crystalline waters (Blue Flag award 2017) or hire a pedal boat for an enjoyable excursion and a splash in the water.

Lunch in a Mountain House at Passo Coe

Once a week we organize an open air barbecue in the splendid setting of Passo Coe, an occasion not to be missed in the open air with the chance to visit the splendid Botanical Gardens maintained by the Rovereto Science Museum.

Biking on the tracks of The 100 km of the Forts

A great ride in company with our MTB instructors, also with e-bikes among the First World War forts.

A Visit to Base Tuono

Our Alpine plateau is characterized by its history with Base Tuono and Forte Belvedere being good examples: Base Tuono from the Cold War and Forte Belvedere from the First World War.

Milk tasting in the mountain farms on the plateau

You cannot come to the mountains and not taste some freshly collected milk … a dawn appointment at a farmhouse will let you rediscover flavours of former times.

Walk to the Forra del Lupo

The Forra del Lupo is one of the rare examples of routes along trenches that can still be transited, 5 km of along cavernous paths and barracks immersed in dense vegetation, starting from Serrada, home of De Pero whose futuristic style shook up Italian art, and an appointment not to be missed in August, Serrada Futurista.

Torchlight procession in the woods

It is wonderful to walk at night in the woods with the light of a torch and stop to listen to the fable of the Alpe Cimbra with its magical characters: the witch Perti and the elf Flik Flik.

Festival of Play

In July summer is enlivened with the Festival of Play, a one week appointment with a full program of events, games, and activities …. Not to be missed.

Hike to Maso Guez and cheese tasting

Maso Guez is a model 100% interactive didactic farm, where children can have the unique experience of walking the thematic Alpine paths with their own kid goat, and when they get back enjoy a feast of cheese and freshly collected milk … but of course goat’s milk.

Descent on the Lavarone Bike Park
