FOLGARIA IN WINTER

With over one hundred kilometers of always snow-covered slopes (when it doesn't snow, there are snow cannons ready to blast it), Folgaria is a beloved destination for those who love snow sports.
But a winter holiday in Folgaria offers everyone, adults and children alike, the chance to experience unforgettable emotions.
We've listed a few here—a sort of decalogue of things not to be missed—but the opportunities for entertainment and fun are endless.
A walk is always a beautiful experience. And if it's taken at night, under the moonlight, the stars, and lanterns, it evokes a tangle of emotions in those who participate.
Activities for the whole family!
A day to enjoy the snow to the fullest. The snow experience offered by Scie di Passione (special prices for our guests) will allow you to discover all the fun the mountains have to offer in winter.
If you come to Trentino in winter, you can't leave without stopping at a refugea whirlpool bath, Malagasy or in one chalet. Folgaria is full of mountain huts and refuges, where you can sample traditional Trentino cuisine or stop for a hot drink!
There are numerous delightful experiences available at our Nevada Family Spa, the wellness center within the Village. Find every way to enjoy beneficial and relaxing pampering. Treatments for both adults and children, a family-friendly pool, and relaxation in the wellness center's wet area for adults.
If you have a sled at home, bring it with you to Folgaria. One of the most exciting experiences you can have is sledding on the plateau's sled runs. In Forlaria, we even have two: one in Costa, in the same hamlet as the hotel, and one in Fondo Piccolo. The great thing is that the sled runs have dedicated lifts: in short, you can spend hours sledding down the slopes.
During your stay in Folgaria, you definitely can't miss a stroll downtown for a spot of shopping. You'll find shops selling typical Alpe Cimbra products to take home with you, relish the flavors of the mountains. From Vézzena mountain cheese to polenta, from fragrant speck to delicious mushrooms, to traditional desserts like strudel and Christmas zelten, not to mention the myriad varieties of excellent honey.
If it's bitterly cold when you're in Folgaria, check to see if Lake Lavarone is frozen. If so, you'll have the chance to experience the thrill of high-speed go-karting on an ice track! The organizers are providing go-karts with studded tires that anyone can safely drive. Meet at the Lago Sud parking lot.
A 15-minute walk from the village of Guardia takes you to the Hofentol waterfall, a spectacular waterfall that's breathtaking in both summer and winter. In winter, when the waters are frozen, the beauty is enhanced by a light trail.
Winter in the mountains also means ice skating. For ice skating enthusiasts, the Folgaria Ice Rink has a 1.800-square-meter indoor rink. Are you ready for some amazing spins?
This is an excursion we always offer, both summer and winter, to families with school-age children. We invite you to visit the MUSE, the Science Museum, in Trento. The MUSE exhibition, spread across multiple floors, uses the metaphor of the mountain to illustrate life on Earth. The layout is designed to pique the curiosity and interest of children, who always return enthusiastically with what they've seen. If you're in Folgaria during the Christmas season, Trento also boasts charming Christmas markets.
